AC Milan have, for several years now, kept their scouting network constantly active across Italy and, above all, throughout Europe, monitoring young talents who could be brought into the Rossoneri squad. According to 'Record', one of Portugal’s leading sports newspapers, on Saturday several AC Milan scouts and representatives from the City Football Group were in Portugal to attend the match between Estoril and Alverca, in order to closely watch Brazilian midfielder Alexsandro Amorim, born in 2005.
The match ended in a 4–1 win for the home side, but Amorim scored the consolation goal. The player arrived in Europe from Fortaleza last summer for around €300,000. Today, the small Portuguese club are asking for at least €6 million for 80% of his registration rights, also taking into account that they must pass on half of any future transfer fee to his former club. Amorim is under contract until 2028 and, in addition to Milan, Bologna are also interested, along with clubs from France and the Netherlands, as well as Portugal’s top sides.
