After Sunday’s important win against Verona, Milan will be back in action on Friday away to Cagliari in their first match of 2026. It will be a difficult trip, far from one to be underestimated, given that Fabio Pisacane’s side come into the game on the back of two highly convincing consecutive victories.
A win is needed to build on the three points earned on Sunday, but above all to keep this push for fourth place alive. The race has become even tighter and more compelling following Roma’s victory over Genoa. As has often been the case this season, however, Allegri will be without several players, including Leao and Gabbia, though he will be able to rely on others, as Tuttosport headlined this morning:
"Nkunku steps up in Leao’s place, Füllkrug ready."
