Massimiliano Allegri, AC Milan head coach, spoke at the press conference after Cagliari–Milan, which ended 0-1 in favour of the Rossoneri, thanks to Rafael Leao's goal.
“Tonight we did not start well. We conceded three shots in the first two minutes. Cagliari played a good first half and we were disorganized. The ‘corto muso’ cannot be trained. You simply need to be precise.”
How did you see the duel between Bartesaghi and Palestra?
“In my opinion, there are many capable young players in Italy, and Palestra and Bartesaghi are proof of that.”
Why the decision to start Fullkrug straight away? And what did it feel like to be back here?
"Fullkrug strongly wanted Milan, and it felt right to give him the opportunity. He immediately showed a real desire to make an impact. As for the emotion, I am very attached to Cagliari and to Sardinia. It was normal to feel emotional.”
Is this a win that goes beyond the three points? Allegri commented:
"We did not start well. For the first 35 minutes we were flat and Cagliari were attacking. There is still a lot to improve. You need to understand the match and manage the moments well. Perfection does not exist."
Did you expect this kind of Cagliari?
"I think Cagliari played a good match. They caused us some problems, especially in the first half. We improved in the second half, but Cagliari are a good team and I have to compliment Pisacane."
