While waiting to see whether he will be able to return to the pitch as early as Thursday away to Genoa, the rumors surrounding Fenerbahçe's interest in Christopher Nkunku continue to swirl. In Turkey, there is confidence that in the coming days the yellow-and-blue directors, who are also working on a deal to sign Guendouzi from Lazio, will hold new talks for Milan’s French forward as well.
No capital loss?
This was reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, which explains that the Turkish club is ready to put €25 million on the table, a figure considered too low by Milan. The Rossoneri are asking for at least €35 million in order to avoid a capital loss. It is worth recalling that last summer the club on Via Aldo Rossi signed Nkunku from Chelsea on a permanent deal for €37 million plus bonuses. The gap between asking price and offer is therefore quite significant.
Nkunku's focus is on Genoa
In the meantime, the Frenchman is not thinking about the transfer market, but about recovering from the knock he picked up against Hellas Verona, which prevented him from featuring on Friday in Cagliari. The forward is still training separately and undergoing physiotherapy to resolve his physical issue. The aim is to be available again for Max Allegri for Thursday’s trip to the Marassi to face Genoa.
