The Italian newspaper Il Quotidiano Sportivo, on newsstands today, runs the headline:
"Triple salary. Anti-big plan for Bartesaghi.”
Davide Bartesaghi, who has now become an undisputed starter on the left, is without doubt one of Milan’s most pleasant surprises this season. At Via Aldo Rossi, the club is ready to lock him down in order to fend off potential suitors such as Arsenal, who have already set their sights on him. His current contract runs until 2030, the idea is to extend it by another year and, above all, to triple his current salary of €500,000.
After the Cagliari–Milan match, Rafael Leao spoke about Bartesaghi to Sky: "He knows what I think of him, we do not need to say it on TV. He is a very intelligent boy, he trains very well and he is becoming very important for the team. I care a lot about him, and at the end of the season great things will come for him. I am happy for him."
