AC Milan continue their search for a new central defender to provide Massimiliano Allegri for the final part of the season. Federico Gatti of Juventus is the coach’s top choice, but difficulties in securing the Bianconeri's defender force the sporting director, Igli Tare, to work on a wider range of options.
For this reason, the AC Milan director’s list has reportedly grown to include names that could fit Allegri’s needs, such as 22-year-old Italian player Diego Coppola who currently plies his trade for Premier League side Brighton, formerly of Hellas Verona. He is also attracting strong interest from Serie A outfit Torino in this winter transfer market window. This was relayed via Milan News today.
