Has the time finally come to see Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao start together again? Milan fans are asking the question, and above all Massimiliano Allegri, ahead of tomorrow night’s home match against Genoa. So far this season, the two have started together only once in the league, on November 23 in the derby against Inter.

Leao and Pulisic finally on the pitch together?
This morning Tuttosport reports that, on paper, the American and the Portuguese could form one of the most prolific pairings in the league. The issue is that Allegri has almost always had only one of the two available at a time because of injuries. Tomorrow night at San Siro against Genoa, barring surprises, the ex Juventus boss should finally have the chance to field both from the first minute. Leao already started in Cagliari, while Pulisic has shaken off the physical problems that kept him on the bench for most of the match in Cagliari.
And if one of the two fails to provide guarantees from the start? Unfortunately, the alternatives are few. Niclas Füllkrug is not yet at peak fitness and is expected to feature in the second half, marking his San Siro debut. Christopher Nkunku, still dealing with the knock he picked up at the end of 2025 against Hellas Verona, trained separately again yesterday and, at best, should only return to the bench. Attention should also be paid to Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s condition, as he cut his training session short yesterday after experiencing a minor physical issue.
