Massimiliano Allegri spoke to Milan TV about the draw against Genoa at San Siro. Here are his comments.
On the match:
"In the end it is an important point. You cannot concede a counterattack and a penalty like that. There was a strong desire to win, but we should not have exposed ourselves to the final counterattack. When you are unable to win, you must not risk losing."
On what did not work, Allegri commented:
"In the first half we needed more patience, we must not become rushed. In the first half Genoa ran a lot and, in fact, they dropped off in the second half. We have to grow in certain situations, we need more balance. Now we have to recover our energy and go to Florence."
On the team’s energy:
"They closed the passing lanes well. We conceded an avoidable goal, but then we showed a good reaction in the second half. We must not be in a hurry. The team has to stay calm."
