This morning’s edition of La Repubblica runs with the headline:
"Penalty scare: Genoa waste it in the 99th minute. Leao saves Milan."
Everything happened late on in last night’s Milan-Genoa clash. After Colombo had given the Rossoblù the lead in the first half, the Rossoneri attacked relentlessly throughout the second half and finally found the equaliser in the 92nd minute through Rafael Leao.
But the drama was not over. Referee Mariani awarded a penalty to the visitors, which, to Milan’s relief, Stanciu blazed over in the 99th minute. With this point, Milan remain second in the table, one point ahead of Napoli, but see leaders Inter move three points clear.
