Luca Bianchin, a journalist, spoke on gazzetta.it about Pervis Estupinan as follows:
"He looks like a man in the middle of an identity crisis. He makes mistakes in simple plays, in the first half, during the build-up, he even set up a shooting chance for Gudmundsson, and gives the impression of being confused. Technical errors, poor decisions, and an overestimation of danger, as in the move where he picked up a yellow card to stop Kean, who was breaking forward but was still level with the halfway line."
"There are a couple of recent precedents hovering over Milanello, because in recent years Milan have gone through tense situations with their full-backs. There has been little calm. Last season Theo Hernandez went from vice-captain and Milan star to an unwanted dressing-room disruptor. Al Hilal resolved everything, but today some regret the old Theo, where ‘old’ is not meant in an age-related sense but a historical one. The Theo Milan fans miss is the one from the 2019–2022 three-year period, certainly not the most recent version. The major precedent, though, is Emerson Royal, who a year ago went through a similar trajectory to Estupinan’s and fell out with the fans: for them, he was not Milan material; for him, they were too harsh on him. Both were probably right. Going further back, in the post-Scudetto period, there was Sergiño Dest, who arrived from Barcelona but was never able to make a contribution. In the end, the best solutions have been two youngsters: Jimenez and Bartesaghi.”
