Strahinja Pavlovic returned to Milan from Florence with ten more points than when he left on Saturday. Unfortunately, only one of them was earned on the pitch, while the others were quite literally stitched onto his forehead after a heavy clash with Pietro Comuzzo, which caused widespread concern and initially required the stretcher to be brought on.
Coming off worse in the head-to-head collision, Pavlovic was immediately taken to hospital, where, fortunately, all the tests he underwent came back negative. The Serbian centre-back was treated by doctors, who left him with a memorable souvenir, as La Gazzetta dello Sport headlined this morning:
"Pavlovic stitched up with nine points."
