For the first time this season, Massimiliano Allegri has four of the five forwards in the squad available. The only one still missing is Santiago Gimenez, who is expected to soon resume running on sand as part of the rehabilitation process for his surgically operated ankle. Four players for two positions, a luxury for the Milan coach, who already in Florence showed he is not afraid to make changes and throw the usual two, Pulisic and Leao, into the fray.
On this topic, Tuttosport ran the headline this morning: "Fullkrug–Nkunku: Allegri smiles", because, in fact, considering the German’s positive performances and the Frenchman’s last three goals, there is life beyond Pulisic–Leao. Who knows, then, whether such a partnership might become an extra weapon in the second half of the season.
