After the impressive win in Como, Milan are straight back in action. Tomorrow evening at San Siro, with kick-off at 20:45, they will bring to an end a demanding run of five matches played every three days that has marked the start of 2026. The Rossoneri will host Lecce on matchday 21 of the Serie A Enilive season and will be looking to build on the hugely important three points secured on Thursday night in the rescheduled fixture away to Cesc Fabregas’ side.
Max Allegri welcomes Strahinja Pavlovic back into the squad, although the defender is still struggling to head the ball due to stitches above his eyebrow, so it remains to be seen whether he will be able to contribute during the match. In front of the guaranteed presence of Maignan, the defence is set to feature the same three-man unit seen at the Sinigaglia: Tomori, Gabbia and De Winter. The Rossoneri coach warned in his press conference that there could be a few changes, with Modrić the leading candidate to drop out, while Ricci or Jashari are pushing for a place. In the mezzala roles, Fofana and, of course, Rabiot are expected to be confirmed. On the right flank, Athekame’s chances are on the rise, even if Saelemaekers remains the favourite for now, while Bartesaghi is set to keep his place on the left.
Up front, Christian Pulisic is likely to return from the start, probably alongside Leão, with Nkunku and Füllkrug ready to provide alternatives off the bench, as relayed via Milan News.
