Leonardo Bonucci, former player, spoke on Radio Serie A about his move to Milan:
"I made choices that some people do not agree with, but at that moment it felt right for me to leave the place I considered home, Juventus. It was certainly not easy, but without that decision I would not be the man I am today, and I would not have met someone as important as Rino Gattuso."
On his career, Bonucci also said:
"Moving from Bari to Juventus was a major step, but I was lucky to settle into the dressing room immediately and quickly build a connection with the senior players, the coach, and the management. With Conte, we understood what it means to be Juventus and to win with Juventus: he passed on a very clear mentality, summed up by the famous phrase ‘winning is the only thing that matters.’ Apart from Gigi, who was already number one, the three of us complemented each other. What one lacked was made up for by the others. We studied each other, got to know one another off the pitch as well, and that helped us enormously in our careers, as the results showed."
