Ahead of Sunday’s Roma–Milan match, the official Serie A League website reports the following statistics:
“There have been 99 official meetings between the two teams in Rome, with a record of 31 Roma wins, the most recent a 3–1 victory in the 2024/25 Serie A, 35 draws, the latest a 1–1 in the 2022/23 Serie A, and 33 Milan wins, the most recent a 2–1 success in the 2022/23 Serie A. In the last eight matches played in Rome, both teams have always scored, with 12 goals for Roma and 11 for Milan.
It will be the 31st official meeting between Gian Piero Gasperini and Massimiliano Allegri. In their previous 30 encounters, the current Milan coach has recorded 14 wins, the former Atalanta coach six, with 10 draws. Paulo Dybala has been involved in 13 goals against Milan in Serie A. Only against Udinese has he recorded more, with 21. After providing an assist in the first meeting, Leão could be involved in a goal in both league matches against Roma for the second time, after the 2022/23 season.”
