After wins over Como and Lecce, Milan were held by an impressive Roma side, who would clearly have deserved more when looking at the post-match statistics. Football works like this at times, though, and Massimiliano Allegri’s team did well to make the most of the one true, clear-cut chance that came their way.
A lapse in experience from Bartesaghi, however, cost the Rossoneri two points. Milan now sit five points clear of fifth place, but also five points behind league leaders Inter. On this, Corriere della Sera headlined this morning: “A nose too short, Milan slow down.”
