After carrying Milan with his goals in the first part of the season, Christian Pulisic is now going through a clearly difficult spell of form. In 2026, the American forward, who remains Milan’s top scorer this season with 10 goals in all competitions, has yet to find the net.
The dip in form of the former Chelsea player is evident and is also linked to some physical problems that are preventing him from training at full intensity and performing at his best. This was reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, which explains that Pulisic has not fully recovered from the ankle issue he suffered in recent months, and it is affecting him significantly. On top of this, there has also been an unusual lack of accuracy in front of goal at the start of the year: the American has always been a deadly finisher, but right now he is missing the necessary clarity in those situations, with the most obvious mistakes coming against Fiorentina.
Between now and mid-February, Milan will play only twice: next Tuesday, 3 February, against Bologna, and then on the weekend of 15 February they will face Pisa away. As a result, Max Allegri’s side will have a few calm days to work at Milanello. This is good news not only for Pulisic, but also for other players who need to manage and shake off minor physical issues, such as Rafael Leao.
