Nelson Dida, former AC Milan goalkeeper, spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about Milan’s objective for the season:
“Does Allegri keep talking about Champions League qualification? Allegri is right, Milan’s first priority must be to return to the Champions League. This does not mean finishing fourth specifically, but finishing among the top four. You should never think too far ahead, but instead set clear objectives and work every day to make them happen. Nothing is as easy as it might seem. It takes commitment, maximum focus, and as few distractions as possible, such as the constant references to the Scudetto. If at the moment only Inter can lose the title? It is normal for Inter to be the favourites. They are top of the table, they have players of quality, and above all they have consistently finished at the very top of the league in recent seasons.”
Milan’s next opponent will be Bologna, Dida:
“It is true that the Rossoblù are not going through an easy period in terms of results, but it will certainly be a difficult match because Bologna will have the advantage of playing at home and they are a team that, as we have seen, know how to be well organised and can surprise you. Milan will need to approach the game in the right way, as they have always done this season.”
