Matteo Gabbia, Milan defender, spoke to SportMediaset XXL, answering questions from journalist Claudio Raimondi on the Scudetto, Allegri, Maignan, and Leao as a singer. Here are his statements.
Result-oriented or play-oriented?
“Let’s start with a bang (laughs). I feel good if we win, so I side with the result-oriented.”
From 0 to 10, how much do you believe in the Scudetto?
“We believe in winning every match, and we know that there are strong opponents too. I’d say 10, because believing in something important is great. We are a solid team. The 10 is for the will to win every game.”
Better the Scudetto with Milan or the World Cup? Gabbia replied:
“Not just one. Right now I’m here, so I say the Scudetto with Milan.”
How much will this derby matter?
"Three points. It’s an important match, but like all the others. It’s not a final that gives you a title, just a league match that gives three points. It will be a spectacle, beautiful, but worth the same as any other match."
How important is Maignan’s renewal?
"Very. Mike is our captain, our leader. We are thrilled to have him with us and we enjoy him fully."

What has Allegri changed in your mindset?
"Quality. He has a charisma that creates chemistry in the group. He’s been excellent at bringing us together and giving tactical instructions, which he and his staff do very well."
Which player has been the hardest to mark?
"I don’t know. You pick one from Inter: Lautaro, Thuram. Osimhen at Napoli. There are many."
A rating for Rafael Leao as a player and as a singer
"Player: 10. Singer: I’ve heard a little, I wouldn’t go above 5.”
How are you at singing?
“Bad, which is why I don’t do it.”
What does Gabbia do in his free time?
"I like spending time with my wife, my dog, friends. I enjoy a walk around Milan, very normal things for a 26-year-old."
On Milan’s early season form:
"Hard to make promises, especially because of the opponents. We aim for a solid win, which is the best thing.”
