Eden Hazard is now a wine producer. With the “Wine of Champions” project, he has launched three bottles made in Italy, specifically in Salento, a place he describes as “very beautiful.” During his career he played for top clubs like Chelsea and Real Madrid, and back in his Lille days there were people, like Massimo Moratti, who admired him greatly.
To present his three wines, Hazard gave interviews to Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport and shareda few behind-the-scenes stories from his past.
"Moratti gave me many compliments, but I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and for Real Madrid, and fortunately I managed to do that. And I’ll let you in on a secret: as a child I supported Milan, and just a few hours ago I met Galliani. He said he could have seen me at Berlusconi’s Milan, but they never made a move either…”

Training with Maurizio Sarri was boring...
"Sarri and I developed a special relationship; I think his idea of football is very close to mine. Every now and then, though, I told him his training sessions were boring. It’s not criticism, especially since the results prove him right, just like they do with Conte. Antonio was incredible; he made us do an endless number of repetitions… The best? He’s not Italian, but you know him well: Mourinho, an extraordinary communicator. The way he thinks and conveys his ideas to players is amazing.”
On the Serie A title race, Hazard said:
“Inter favorites for the Scudetto? Yes, although many things can change from one moment to the next. Juventus are improving, Napoli have quality. Chivu, however, can also do well in the Champions League. If you reach two finals in three years, it’s certainly no coincidence. The directors are competent, the players are strong, and the San Siro crowd makes the difference.”
