Massimiliano Allegri has reason to smile ahead of Milan’s return to action tomorrow evening away at Pisa, ten days after their last official match (the 3–0 win over Bologna). During this enforced break, the Rossoneri were able to work at Milanello and recover two key players, Rafael Leão and Christian Pulisic.
According to reports on the eve of the match, both are expected to start on the bench, as they do not yet have a full 90 minutes in their legs, especially the American. In addition to Gimenez, Saelemaekers will also be unavailable, as relayed via those at Milan News.
For the match in the shadow of the 'Leaning Tower', the Rossoneri coach will once again rely on the Nkunku–Loftus pairing, which performed well at the Dall’Ara in the previous game. In midfield, he is set to place his trust in the same players, confirming Athekame on the right and Bartesaghi on the left, with Fofana in the center alongside the indispensable Modric and Rabiot. The only change compared to the Bologna match will be in front of the ever-present Mike Maignan: Tomori is set to return alongside Gabbia and Pavlovic.
