After the match won against Bologna, Milan did not play last weekend against Como due to the unavailability of San Siro and will return to the field tonight away at Pisa. The Rossoneri have had about ten days off, during which Max Allegri was able to recover Christian Pulisic, who had missed the trip to Stadio Renato Dall'Ara because of iliopsoas bursitis.
As reported this morning by Tuttosport, the American forward, still without a goal in 2026 (his last one came on December 28, 2025 against Hellas Verona), has recovered from his physical problem and is once again available to the Livorno-born coach. In Pisa he will start on the bench, as his condition cannot yet be at its best, as Allegri confirmed in yesterday’s press conference: “Pulisic trained with the group for the first time yesterday. He’s available, but he’ll only have fifteen or twenty minutes in his legs.”
Up front, therefore, space from the first minute for Christopher Nkunku and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the same pair that started against Bologna ten days ago. On the bench alongside Pulisic will also be Rafael Leão, who is not at peak fitness due to a well-known pubic inflammation, and Niclas Füllkrug, who at the moment represents an important option for Allegri during the match.
In recent weeks there has been a lot of discussion about Pulisic’s contract renewal, as he is currently tied to Milan until 2027. However, the club has the option to extend the agreement in its favor until 2028. The Rossoneri will most likely exercise that option, but discussions are already underway between the parties to reach an agreement for an even longer deal. After all, it is undeniable that in recent seasons Christian Pulisic has been one of Milan’s best players, and the club will do everything it can to secure him for the long term.
