On his YouTube channel, Carlo Pellegatti spoke about the ongoing criticism of Massimiliano Allegri’s style of play and briefly commented on yesterday’s match between Juventus and Inter Milan. These were his words:
“Today, instead of everyone being united behind our AC Milan, supporting their coach, no, as if it were some kind of subtle trend, a radical-chic fashion, it’s fashionable to say: I don’t like Allegri’s football. Yes, we have many points, but Allegri’s style doesn’t satisfy us; we want something else, a more sparkling kind of play. Meanwhile, Milan are second, eight points behind Inter. And here we are, acting like the hens of Renzo from I Promessi Sposi, as companions in this battle against the warship that is Inter. Instead of staying united, we keep making distinctions: ‘Yes, but Allegri’s football…’ It’s something incomprehensible.
Pellegatti added:
"Yesterday Inter went back to +8. It was a match influenced by the referee, Federico La Penna, who after giving an excessive first yellow card made a mistake, misled by Alessandro Bastoni’s fall. We are in a fight against the Inter juggernaut, which beat Juventus, sparking the anger of Damien Comolli and Giorgio Chiellini. And yesterday someone said, ‘Did you see the Juve executives going to protest? And ours?’ To go and protest, you have to actually be there.”
