As reported this morning by today’s edition of Tuttosport, talks between AC Milan and Ruben Loftus-Cheek over the renewal of the English midfielder’s contract, which currently expires in 2027, have now entered a decisive phase. The Rossoneri club’s objective is to reach an agreement within the next few weeks. In January there was no shortage of suitors for the former Chelsea player, who was approached, for example, by Lazio and Aston Villa.
The Italian newspaper based in Turin also reveals that, during the winter transfer window, Milan and the player turned down a lucrative offer that arrived from Saudi Arabia: a three-year contract worth 10 million euros per season was ready for the midfielder. The money put on the table by the Saudis was substantial, but Loftus-Cheek preferred to remain at a top club like the Rossoneri.
