Franco Ordine, in his usual editorial for Corriere dello Sport, commented on Rafael Leão after his goal against Como:
"It is true: that goal, set up by Jashari’s perfectly measured pass, almost drawn with a compass, was a remarkable display of precision in finishing on one hand and a fierce burst of speed on the other. The young Jashari, placed by Max alongside Modrić to free up the Ballon d’Or winner in the attacking phase, was a real surprise."
"At Milanello they keep repeating: Leão is better, much better. The truth, confirmed publicly again last night, however, is that we are still far from the Leão that Milan need in order to protect second place and to continue their positive run of results, which reached 24 matches yesterday. If it is only a matter of physical condition, perhaps a few more days are needed, maybe a few more performances to truly warm up the engine."
"Yet watching him yesterday, especially in the first 20 to 30 minutes, sprint at what looked like half speed leaves a certain impression. Nor can a trial be held over Rafa’s temperament, because this time the issue is different. Certainly, without the best version of Leão, even the race for a Champions League spot is far from guaranteed.”
