Ardon Jashari played 90 minutes against Como and 74 against Parma, for a total of 164 minutes, almost as many as he had accumulated in the rest of this Serie A season combined. However, that figure is set to rise, as all signs suggest the Swiss midfielder will also feature on Sunday at 12:30 pm in the matchday 27 league fixture away to Cremonese.
This was reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, which explains that Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s injury, which will sideline him for at least a couple of months, will certainly allow Jashari to see much more playing time. Some had doubts about whether he could coexist with Luka Modric, but the last two matches have shown that the pair can play together. The first to be convinced is Massimiliano Allegri, who appreciated the way the Swiss and the Croatian moved across the pitch, often alternating their positions. Milan’s near future in midfield could therefore feature a double playmaker setup.
Is Jashari on the rise?
The talented midfielder Ardon Jashari is finally hoping to show his qualities consistently after a difficult first half of the season, largely due to the serious fibula injury he suffered at the end of August during training following a collision with Gimenez. In fact, it took a long time to recover, but now the worst is behind him. In recent weeks, Ardon has also shown significant physical improvement, which is precisely why Allegri is now giving him more opportunities.
