Christian Pulisic’s season so far has been a tale of two halves: from August to December, the American was the usual driving force, proving decisive in several matches, while from the start of 2026 onwards, the former Chelsea player has struggled, so much that he has yet to score in the new year. The reason is certainly some physical issues affecting his performance.

This morning, Tuttosport reported that in the first part of the season, Pulisic had shouldered the burden of Milan’s attack and had carried the Rossoneri with a string of goals, including the decisive one in the first derby of the season. All this despite Captain America not being at his best due to a muscle injury sustained with the national team in October and an ankle problem that troubled him for some time. At the end of December, against Hellas Verona, he scored his last official goal for the number 11 of Milan, and since that day he has not scored again.
Pulisic's best form is needed at Milanello:
In the last two months, Christian has struggled to regain top form, hindered by some physical ailments that never allowed him to return fully to peak condition. Now, one of Allegri’s primary goals is to get the best Pulisic back as soon as possible for the final part of the season. Meanwhile, discussions about renewing his contract, which expires in 2027, will continue, but Milan has an option to extend it for another year, which they will almost certainly exercise. The American attacker, who could receive interesting offers from the Premier League and Saudi Arabia in the summer, continues to enjoy the full confidence of the club on via Aldo Rossi, which has no intention of letting him go.
