Igli Tare was interviewed by DAZN before the Cremonese-Milan match. Here are all the statements from the Rossoneri Sporting Director.
Tare’s first year at Milan and the start of a new project:
“Looking at last year’s result, our goal was to provide stability, to create a team that can achieve important objectives like the Champions League. On this, we believe we have done important work, both on the part of the club and the staff, because we must not forget that 12 new players arrived. It is a new path; it is normal that along the way some points are lost through draws and Sunday’s defeat. But we all remain focused and, above all, aware that we must reach our objective and look to the future with great enthusiasm.”
Is there a fear of a psychological setback after the fading of the Scudetto dream?
“In football we have seen everything and more. One defeat cannot take away the certainties we have had for six consecutive months. We also saw how that defeat came about, without going back to make polemics. Today we have the opportunity to play a great match, to win, to face derby week with enthusiasm.”
Tare, how do you plan the next season without the certainty of being in the Champions League? What kind of Milan are you imagining?
“You do it by doing group work, sharing ideas, but above all knowing that next season will be important, different, with more matches. Milan must be a competitive team also for next season.”
Yesterday Allegri said that sometimes, when talking, it is normal to have different ideas, Tare replied:
“Otherwise there would be something that doesn’t add up. Ideas can also be different; in the end what matters is the common good, only Milan matters.”
