During his usual editorial for TMW, journalist Fabrizio Biasin not only commented on last night’s first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal between Inter and Como, but also began to look ahead to Sunday evening’s derby:
“Milan are preparing for the derby with a certain and well deserved calm. Let me explain: on one hand there is the awareness that the Scudetto is difficult to achieve and can only be pursued through a win in the city derby. On the other hand there is the peace of mind of a team that can manage a solid lead over fifth place, the club’s primary objective for the season. As for the rest, some are putting pressure on players like Pulisic and Leao, accusing them of lacking sharpness. They should be cleared of blame instead. The first, heavily affected by physical problems, cannot really be judged. The second keeps taking strong criticism but in the end, for years now, he has always been the most decisive player. The strongest in the squad? No. In my personal view that is Rabiot, an outstanding midfielder [...]”.
