The Derby between Milan and Inter is getting closer. Today at Milanello, Allegri and his staff planned a double training session for the Rossoneri to stay concentrated and focused on the San Siro clash, which will take place on Sunday at 20:45. In particular, the Milan coach will have to deal with some significant absences: Gimenez and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will not be available, and neither will Matteo Gabbia, who underwent surgery yesterday for an inguinal hernia that will keep him on the sidelines for at least a month.
The condition of Davide Bartesaghi, who suffered a strain to the right thigh flexor in Cremona, still needs to be assessed. Fortunately, tests ruled out any injuries, but it remains to be seen if and how the 2005-born player will return to availability.
According to the latest updates reported by colleague Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Sport 24 outside Milanello, a test is scheduled for tomorrow and the day after to evaluate Bartesaghi’s condition. For now, however, Pervis Estupiñán occupies the slot as the likely starter.
