After last season, which was one to forget, Milan have returned this year to compete for the top spots, and much of the credit certainly goes to Massimiliano Allegri, who came back in the summer to the Rossoneri bench after several years away. The work done is clear for everyone to see. The ex Juventus boss has given the players back a sense of belonging, discipline, and awareness of their own abilities.

Stay at Milan:
As reported this morning by Corriere della Sera, in recent days there have been rumors about a possible departure at the end of the season, and all Milan fans ask the same question: what does Max intend to do? Allegri is focused only on the pitch and on Sunday’s Milan derby, but his wish is still to remain with the Rossoneri. Of course, at the end of the season he will meet with the club to carry out a broad evaluation, yet the coach from Livorno has not changed his mind and wants to continue his second spell on the bench of AC Milan.
Allegri, who has a contract until 2027 with an option until 2028 worth €5 million per year, knows very well that a lot will need to be done in the summer transfer market, especially if Milan return to the UEFA Champions League. With matches every three days, it will be crucial to expand the squad with experienced players who can make an immediate impact and lead their teammates, including the younger ones, as Adrien Rabiot and Luka Modrić have done this season. The last two transfer windows did not fully convince him. For example, it is no secret that in January he asked for a defender who ultimately never arrived. For this reason, while still respecting each role within the club, he would like to have a stronger voice in the decisions that shape the next Milan squad.
