Fabio Capello, former Milan coach, commented to Gazzetta dello Sport on the Serie A title race between Inter and Milan:
"Inter’s draw with Atalanta must have brought some joy to Milanello, but the trip to Rome is by no means something to take lightly. Sometimes, when you’re fired up and want to do too much, you overdo it and it ends badly. Someone like Allegri is definitely helpful in these moments. Max is good at reading the situation and has a lot of experience. On top of that, he’s always balanced in his statements. Even yesterday in the press conference, he rightly kept a low profile, continuing to emphasize the Champions League and barely touching the topic of the title: if Milan were to reduce the gap to five points, it wouldn’t automatically mean that the championship is back open."
"It’s always okay to dream and hope. But everything would still depend on Inter, who would need to slip up in at least two or three more games. At the same time, Milan would have to keep winning, starting tonight in Rome. Will there be a sprint for the title? Let’s wait for the next three matchdays (he laughs). Inter will face Fiorentina away, then Roma at home, and Como away: three teams that need points and are tough to play against. If Chivu leaves more points on the road and, at the same time, Milan manages to take full points…"
