Igli Tare spoke to DAZN before the match Lazio-Milan. Here are all the statements from the Rossoneri sporting director.
Can Moise Kean be the center-forward of the future?
“It’s pointless to talk about these things now. For us, the most important thing tonight is to win this match. It means a lot for the standings and to give continuity to last Sunday’s victory. Let’s focus on these things, and when the transfer market time comes there will be plenty to talk about.”
After Inter’s draw, do you fully feel that tonight the title race could realistically reopen? Tare replied:
“Honestly, no. We just have to do our part. We need to try to win; the gap is still large. But by winning tonight we move one step closer. We have to think game by game because the league is full of surprises.”
Today Lazio will have their fans back. Is that positive or negative?
“We talked about it during the week as well. For us it’s better to play in a full stadium; it’s beautiful to experience football with all the emotions it gives you. Lazio are going through a period of transition, a difficult moment, but they are always a team to be feared. They are still a team that can beat anyone. We know well what to expect tonight, but we’re aware and we want to win.”
Tare, have you already spoken with Modrić about his future? Are there timelines for a possible renewal?
“One thing is certain: Luka loves Milan very much, and Milan also loves Luka very much. So I think, as we said at the start of the season, it will be an easy decision for him. The contract is there if we want it; we have a one-year option. But he has to decide calmly. If there’s one thing I know well, it’s that he likes playing for this team.”
