The last image we had of Milan, before training resumed yesterday at the Milanello sports center, was the argument between Rafael Leão and Christian Pulisic, sparked by the Portuguese player who, in the tunnels of the Stadio Olimpico after the defeat against SS Lazio, complained to his teammate for not having been served properly during the match. A quarrel that Massimiliano Allegri tried to calm down, but which he could not simply ignore as if nothing had happened: so yesterday the issue was addressed head-on and became the starting point for the whole team.

The Milanello Truce

As with every post-match training restart, as reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri first gathered in the video room to analyze everything that went wrong in the match lost to Lazio. It was an opportunity for both Leão and Pulisic to reflect calmly on the technical and tactical situations that occurred on the field: the Portuguese player, in front of the rest of the team, apologized to his teammate for his excessive reaction, and the two also shook hands on the pitch. A sign of a fresh start in every sense: Allegri does not want any kind of distractions and is focused solely on Torino FC; it is necessary that his players are as well, learning from what happened in the past but burying any possible source of friction.

Milan now needds goals and wins from Leao and Pulisic:

Allegri cannot allow Leao and Pulisic, especially in a season that has been physically demanding for both, to also be distracted by off-field issues. It would be absurd, also because besides being the most talented players in Milan’s attack, they are two guys who have always respected each other despite having different, if not opposite, personalities. The goal now, however, is shared: not only a return to winning, but also a return to scoring, something so fundamental for an attacker and which could truly give new life to both of them. To achieve this, they are aware that they must pull in the same direction, especially when you have a teammate with important qualities who can help you flourish.
