On the day of his meeting with fans at the Flagship Store on Via Dante not long ago, Davide Bartesaghi also gave an interview to the club’s official channels in a “quick fire” format: lots of short questions and quick answers.
How big of a Milan fan are you?
“Very much so, I’ve been one since I was really little.”
Your first memory related to Milan?
“My dad passed on his passion for Milan to me.”
Your childhood idol?
“Besides Paolo Maldini, I used to watch Marcelo when I first started following football, so I looked up to him too.”
Massimiliano Allegri in one word? Bartesaghi answered:
“Positive, he always tries to find the right side of things, to stay positive, and he asks the same of us," as relayed via Milan News.
First message you check on your phone?
“Usually messages from my best friends, they wish me luck before matches. Even though I never read them before the game.”
What would you have done if you hadn’t become a footballer?
“We were just talking about it with my family the other day. I would’ve helped my dad in the construction business.”
Are you tidy or messy at home?
“Very tidy, I hate seeing mess, even in my room or locker.”
Sweet or savory breakfast?
“Sweet. I have Greek yogurt with a bit of honey and a pancake.”
Night owl or early riser?
“On days off I might wake up a bit later, around 10:30 at the latest. But for training I wake up around 8, and I always feel good because I try to sleep as well as possible.”
Are you superstitious?
“Yes, and I try to stick to my routine.”
Coffee, yes or no?
“No, never. Zero.”
Cinema or couch?
“I’m more of a couch person, but if I’m with friends I prefer going to the cinema.”
Do you follow instinct or logic?
“If it’s something I really care about, I tend to think it through. But when I get a bit irritated, I act more on instinct.”
Three words to describe yourself?
“Positive, friendly, and cheerful. I always try to bring something good into the locker room.”
Do social media stress you out or entertain you?
“I’m pretty relaxed about social media. I use them a bit more than when I was younger and have a few laughs.”
How do you dress?
“I’m not exactly super elegant, I’ve got my own style, a bit flashy (laughs). With earrings that sometimes Landucci and the coach tell me to take off, they say they’re not appropriate.”
What makes you angry?
“When someone says they have something to tell me and then doesn’t say it anymore, especially because I get curious after a while.”
Do you sing in the car or drive in silence?
“This song (L’amore non mi basta by Emma) I didn’t listen to much before, but since it started trending on TikTok and other social media, Gabbia and I listen to it all the time. I’ve really grown attached to it," said Bartesaghi.
The last thing you searched online?
“I think it was how to change some settings in a game, Fortnite. I’ve been playing with my friends lately, so I had to be prepared.”
Do you dance at parties?
“Mostly I keep to myself, unless a song I really like comes on… I’m not very good at dancing.”
Bartesaghi, what is your dream?
"To stay at Milan as long as possible, and of course to wear the national team shirt."
