Sandro Tonali’s farewell to Milan in the summer of 2023 was certainly one of the saddest moments in recent years for Milan fans. The reason is very simple: the midfielder never hid the fact that he is a Milan supporter, so it was as if they were seeing one of their own leave. The player himself also suffered greatly after the transfer to Newcastle, but deep down he knows that sooner or later he will return to Milanello, as relayed via Milan News.

Sandro Tonali's story and AC Milan:

Although his career is thriving elsewhere (he has become a key player for the English team, and there is a chance he could move to a top club in the coming summer), Milan is always on his mind. Yesterday, Tonali made a decisive impact with a goal in Italy’s victory over Northern Ireland, and after the match he said that it was the most important goal of his life, alongside the one he scored for Milan against Lazio in the year of the Scudetto: "The goal? The most important of my career so far, along with the one against Lazio when I was at Milan. I dedicate it to everyone because everyone deserves to go to the World Cup. But be careful: we haven’t done anything yet, there’s still a long way to go. Now we reset after this match, unfortunately, because tonight was great, but we need to recover and give 150% in the next one to make it to the World Cup. We have to leave the field completely spent; people deserve to enjoy a World Cup, and we have this responsibility," said the Azzurri midfielder.

Sooner or later:

In previous interviews, Tonali has often spoken warmly about Milan and has never hidden that he continues to support the Rossoneri, even though he now plays elsewhere. Of course, he cannot say it openly, but in his mind there is the conviction that sooner or later his future will again be colored red and black. At the moment, a return to Milanello is impossible because his transfer value is too high for any Italian club, but the feeling is that, in time, he will try to come back to Milan because his bond with the Rossoneri is too strong. And Milan fans will surely welcome him with open arms.
