We are only at the end of March and there is still an entire league run-in to be played, but Milan have already secured their first signing for the 2026–2027 season. In recent hours, the Rossoneri have finalised an agreement with Partizan Belgrade for the permanent transfer of Andrej Kostic, a centre-forward born in 2007 whom the club had been monitoring for quite some time. The player, for whom the Via Aldo Rossi club will pay three million euros and who has scored 10 goals in 27 appearances in the Serbian top division this season, is currently in Milan where he is undergoing his medical examinations this morning.
Today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport describes Milan’s new signing as follows: “Kostic can play as either a main striker or a second striker. He has the physique, standing at 188 cm, and is developing rapidly. Born in Podgorica, Montenegro, on 16 January 2007, he moved in the summer from Buducnost to Partizan, where he has been compared to Dusan Vlahovic, with whom he shares an agent. Kostic has already made an impression in Italy: last September he scored against the Italy Under-21 side in La Spezia, although the match was later turned around by Italy. Andrej has also made his debut for the senior national team: two appearances under head coach Mirko Vucinic.”
At Casa Milan they are convinced they have signed a major talent. Kostic will initially join Milan Futuro, but the feeling is that it will not take him long to reach the first team. The Rossoneri had already tried to sign him in January, but were unable to reach an agreement with Partizan despite the player pushing for a move to Milanello. The acceleration in recent days proved decisive in getting the deal done and in beating strong competition from both Italy and across Europe. If Kostic lives up to expectations, this could turn out to be an excellent piece of business for Milan.
