After the strong statement from Partizan Belgrade’s vice-president Predrag Mijatović, who said he was firmly opposed to the transfer of Andrej Kostić to Milan for €3.5 million plus €4.5 million in bonuses, a response has arrived from the rest of the Serbian club’s management through the club’s official newsletter:
“Regarding the press release issued by the Vice-President for Sporting Affairs, Mr Predrag Mijatović, we inform the public that on Wednesday the club will provide full and detailed answers to all the accusations contained therein. On that occasion, his previous role within the administration will be further clarified, along with the unconditional support he enjoyed during a certain period, as well as the issues that arose following certain decisions and the sporting results achieved.
At the same time, we believe that at this moment it is difficult to understand the reopening of matters relating to individual roles in the public sphere, considering that the club’s priorities are the fulfilment of all obligations and the successful completion of UEFA monitoring. Given that tomorrow is the deadline for meeting the extremely strict conditions set by the UEFA monitoring system, we inform the public that the management of Partizan Football Club is fully focused on fulfilling all necessary obligations today and tomorrow, with the aim of successfully completing this process.
We believe that at this moment it is of crucial importance that all club activities are directed exclusively towards meeting requirements and safeguarding the stability and interests of FC Partizan. On all the issues and topics that have emerged publicly in the recent period, the club will speak in detail and transparently on Wednesday, at the end of the monitoring process, with the aim of fully informing the public,” reports sportske.net.
