For a few hours, Milan has finalised the signing of Andrej Kostić, but in the meantime, a real internal war has erupted at Partizan Belgrade over the transfer of the 19-year-old. Corriere dello Sport reports on the situation with the headline:
"Kostić to Milan, chaos at Partizan."
According to vice-president Predrag Mijatović, the amount received by the Serbian club is far too low compared to the player’s value: "I completely distance myself from this decision. I affirm that I was in no way consulted regarding Andrej Kostić’s transfer and that I have never even seen Milan’s offer.
I emphasise that, had I been involved in the decision-making process, I would have made it clear and unequivocal to all members of the Board of Directors that I was absolutely opposed to accepting such a paltry offer," Mijatović stated in a press release.
Kostić will join Milan Futuro as a reinforcement to prepare for the first team: the Milan management is confident that, in a short time, the Montenegrin can train and play alongside Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
