Milan, through its official channels, shared an exclusive interview with Santiago Gimenez, who spoke on various topics, including his hunger to return to the pitch and the final matches of the season.

These were his words:
"I feel like a new person, a renewed person, and I feel the responsibility to give the fans what they expect from me. I started extremely well at Milan, scoring several goals, but afterwards, due to certain circumstances, my performance dropped. Playing with a painful ankle didn’t help either. Last season was negative, there’s no point in hiding it. Then in the summer Allegri arrived, new players arrived, and I believe we are having a fairly positive season. But then the ankle operation came, and for this reason too, I feel obliged to give the fans what they expect from me. I am not the same Santi I was when I arrived; I am much hungrier and I feel better."
Santiago Gimenez added:
"I sincerely thank all the technical and medical staff who have always been by my side during a very difficult moment for me. I intend to repay all the love they have given me on the pitch, which is what matters most of all. When I decided to have surgery, my whole family came from Mexico, they were by my side, and this helped me a lot. Sometimes I joke with the technical staff and say: 'When I played, we used to win four in a row,' which are obviously jokes. We are having a great season, and the remaining matches are like finals for us, especially the one in Naples because it’s a great team with passionate supporters."
"There, the greatest of all, Maradona, played, and that inspires passion in the players who play there. Milan is a club that belongs in the Champions League; we absolutely have to return there," said Gimenez.
