Massimiliano Allegri has changed approach and switched to a 4-3-3 formation. The experiments of recent days were confirmed again in this afternoon’s training session, although the attacking line-up will be slightly different from what might have been expected. According to the latest reports from Peppe Di Stefano on Sky Sport 24, the front three against Udinese should consist of Alexis Saelemaekers, Rafael Leão, and Christian Pulisic. This setup would therefore leave Santiago Giménez, Niclas Füllkrug, and Christopher Nkunku on the bench.

The Frenchman, in fact, had been tested yesterday alongside Pulisic and Leão in a very attacking trio, but he will not start in the end. Leão’s role as a central forward would also free him from primary defensive duties, allowing him to be more focused and effective going forward towards the opposition goal. Samuele Ricci is also set to start in place of Youssouf Fofana, who has not been at his best in recent days due to a bout of flu.
This is therefore AC Milan’s probable line-up for the match against Udinese:
AC Milan (4-3-3):
Maignan; Athekame, De Winter, Pavlović, Bartesaghi; Ricci, Modrić, Rabiot; Saelemaekers, Leão, Pulisic.
