In his editorial on the Sportitalia website, Michele Criscitiello commented on Milan’s poor run of form as follows:
“A club vision is needed. Something new and different. Allegri has tried to do his best, but without players it is difficult for everyone. That said, he also has his share of responsibility, as does Tare, who has spent almost €140 million on half-players. What is needed, above all, is clarity at management level, and you cannot continue with an ownership structure with two heads. If Furlani is in charge, that is one thing; if Cardinale is in charge, that is another. There is far too much confusion over roles and hierarchy."
"In this squad, too many players should not even be allowed into Milanello. Mediocre or finished. Enough with Leao, who is an ongoing failed gamble. Credit to Modric for the champion he has been, but from next year onwards fresh faces are needed. As we anticipated about a month ago, Allegri is not convinced about continuing without clarity and proper planning. The truth is that even within the club, and among the fans, they would quite happily replace him. Leftovers are often bland.”
