AC Milan's central defender Koni De Winter spoke to the media in a press conference after the 1-1 draw at the Allianz stadium against Luciano Spalletti's team.
Here's what the ex Juventus and Genoa player had to say to the journalists:
"I always try to give my best. As for what is being said, that is not under my control. I always try to do my job and do what is best for the team."
De Winter, what happened after you took the lead?
“I think we played well, but we gave the ball away too many times when we should have played it simply. Juventus put a lot of attacking players on the pitch, so it is difficult to press them. They did well and found the goal.”
Did things change a lot without Mario Gila? De Winter said:
“I haven’t watched the incident back, but we should have put a bit more pressure on the ball. For us, there is no difference between Gila and Terracciano: the name changes, but the way we play remains the same.”
What memories do you have of Juventus?
“It’s nice to return to where I grew up, and it was nice to see people I had a good time with again. But we had a match to play, so I was more focused on that.”
