Giorgio Furlani, AC Milan's CEO, was present with Tammy Abraham at Milanello today to talk to the media in a press conference. Here are his statements:
How important was Abraham's enthusiasm for the success of the negotiation?
"It was extremely important. The other players who arrived also strongly wanted to join Milan and be part of this project. We thank him for that."
How do you judge Milan's summer transfer market?
"We did what we wanted to do from the beginning. We are satisfied."
Why did you renew Luka Jovic and then sign another forward in addition to Alvaro Morata?
"We have three competitions plus the Super Cup. There are many matches, so it makes sense for us to have three strikers."
The start hasn't been the best. How long will you wait for Paulo Fonseca?
"We would have liked to have 9 points, of course, but there’s no panic. I wouldn’t talk about important matches or anything like that. We are satisfied with the work the coach has done in preparation, we are with him, and the team is with him as well."
What do you think about Zlatan Ibrahimovic's absence in Rome? Furlani commented:

"Zlatan had a commitment from a long time ago, before he joined Milan. Announcing it earlier? I don't think we need to announce every move. I was there, Moncada was there, and the owner was also there."
How do you judge the Theo Hernandez - Rafael Leao situation at the cooling break?
"There has been a lot of talk, actually too much. We, the management and the players themselves, were surprised by the reaction. It's a non-event for us."
Instead of going all-in on a single player, you prefer to make multiple signings for 20-25 million euros...
"In football, the focus is on the price and not on the value. We are convinced that we have signed strong players who will contribute to Milan's success."
Is this the most complicated moment since you became a director? Have you ever regretted the choice you made?
"I haven’t thought about it. It's not a pleasant moment, but we will get through it by staying united and working.
