After attending San Siro for his Milan’s first victory of the season against Venezia, Gerry Cardinale left Milan yesterday. The RedBird owner, due to work commitments, will not be present tomorrow evening for the Rossoneri's Champions League debut against Liverpool, but it is not entirely ruled out that he could return to the city this weekend for the derby against Inter, scheduled for Sunday evening.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, before departing from Milan, Cardinale called Paulo Fonseca (they had already exchanged messages on Saturday evening after the 4-0 win against Venezia). During the call, the Milan owner wanted to reiterate his satisfaction with the victory and performance against the Venezia team, and then expressed his hope that the Rossoneri team would continue on this path in the upcoming, much tougher challenges against Liverpool and Inter.
