During the UEFA lunch with the Liverpool delegation ahead of tonight's match at San Siro, Paolo Scaroni, the president of AC Milan, once again addressed the stadium issue.
Here's what he said, as relayed via our colleagues at Calcioefinanza.it:
"Milan is firmly committed to building a new stadium, taking on great responsibility towards our fans to make the club more competitive internationally, and therefore we must explore any possibility presented to us."
Scaroni continued:
"The idea of renovating the Meazza, for example, did not meet certain criteria required by the clubs, although it was a high-quality project in line with the standards of an international leading company like WeBuild. Our position remains clear: we continue to invest in the project at San Donato, but we remain open to hearing the responses that the City of Milan will provide."
