Yunus Musah spoke at today's Off White x AC Milan event. He also talked about his beginnings in football, Milan, and various social causes.
Here are his words as reported by Milan Press:
"I started playing as a child and I’ve always wanted to become a professional footballer. I’ve always looked up to great players and big clubs like Milan, and playing for this great team makes me very happy. How can we help? I’ve lived in many places and experienced many cultures. Sport brings people together. During COVID, for example, through training, I met many people from all over the world. We need to get young people out on the fields to interact with different worlds. We must encourage the youth to do these things so they become more appreciated. I miss the days I played with my friends at the park, but today I have my teammates."
Yunus Musah added:
"We are in 2024, and there have been many changes in football, even positive ones. For example, we have many players from different continents and countries, and we all get along very well. It gives us the chance to learn from different worlds. Learning from others with diverse cultures and languages is beautiful. In our team, we speak five languages. There has been a big change, and many teams in Italy are also multicultural."
He continued:
"How do I handle social media? It’s a great topic to discuss. We have a huge responsibility: we need to be examples for the new generation. We have the power to make a difference in the world, and we have a large platform to do good things. There is a good side and a bad side, and this is one of the good ones."
Yunus Musah also said:
"Social causes to discuss? I like to help when I can, and I help off-camera. I’d love to work with the club, which already collaborates with the Milan Foundation. When you have the financial and physical ability, you must help."
