Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Senior Advisor at RedBird, spoke just a few minutes before the derby.
Here are his words to DAZN:
Did anything bother you this week?
"No, nothing serious. Criticism is part of the job and responsibilities. People talk about my role, but it doesn’t matter, what matters is Milan. I can't make jokes because not everyone understands them, so I have to be careful."
Do you want to add anything? Ibrahimovic replied:
"We’re working. It's a demanding job, but I like it. The important thing is the team and Milan, not me. It's not a one-man show, as I’ve said before. We overcame a tough time before and we’ll do it again this time. Personally, things against me don't bother me—I’ve lived with criticism for years as a player. I just keep going with what I’m doing. It doesn’t disturb me; on the contrary, it motivates me and fuels me to do even more."
On Paulo Fonseca's future. Is this match decisive for him?
"Absolutely not. Today the focus is only on the match, no one has spoken about anything else. There’s nothing else on our minds."
Happy with how the Primavera derby went? Maximilian Ibrahimovic scored on his 18th birthday.
"The important thing is that he's happy and keeps going like this. I’m proud of him and will support him as a father."
