Given Álvaro Morata's less-than-perfect physical condition, on Tuesday in the Champions League away game against Bayer Leverkusen, Paulo Fonseca decided not to field two strikers.
Instead, he started Tammy Abraham from the beginning and then replaced the Englishman with the Spaniard in the second half. On Sunday evening in Florence against Fiorentina, however, the attack that performed so well in the derby and against Lecce is expected to return.
Milan; Morata-Abraham vs Fiorentina?

According to Tuttosport this morning, it is highly likely that Alvaro Morata will return to the starting lineup against 'La Viola', playing behind Tammy Abraham.
Christian Pulisic on the right and Rafael Leao on the left will be confirmed on the wings. The revival of the Rossoneri, after a disappointing start to the season, has also come thanks to Fonseca’s decision to field two true strikers.
In Florence, a return to victory is needed after the defeat in Leverkusen, and for this reason, the Portuguese coach will revert to the "old" attacking setup.
Other changes in the Milan lineup possible
Morata's return to the starting lineup may not be the only change. The match in Germany showed that Emerson Royal and Fikayo Tomori were once again not flawless, so in Florence, they could be replaced by Davide Calabria and Strahinja Pavlovic, respectively. Meanwhile, Theo Hernandez and Matteo Gabbia are confirmed in defense, with the latter having secured his starting position through solid performances and growing confidence.
