After the draw against Juventus, Paulo Fonseca stated that he still believes in winning the Scudetto:
"I know it’s difficult for others to believe, but I still do. There are many games left to play, and plenty of points that other teams can drop."
This was reported by Tuttosport this morning, explaining that for Milan, not only is the Scudetto an unrealistic goal, but even qualification for the next Champions League, a minimum objective for the club, is at risk.

At present, the Rossoneri sit seventh, nine points behind fourth-placed Fiorentina, with Lazio and Juventus also ahead of them.
The situation is anything but simple, and the risk of missing out on the Champions League is, unfortunately, very real.
AC Milan's negative start
Luckily for the Rossoneri, there are still many matches left, and as Fonseca points out, other teams will also drop points. It is high time, however, that the Rossoneri team went on a winning streak, as they cannot afford to fall further away from the top four.
With 19 points in 12 matches, the Portuguese coach has overseen Milan’s worst start since the 2019-2020 season, when Marco Giampaolo’s side managed just 13 points.
A year ago, under Stefano Pioli, Milan were third with 26 points at this stage. An immediate turnaround is needed because missing out on the Champions League at the end of the season would be an unimaginable disaster.
